This course aims to develop architecture students‘ theoretical understanding of space and its relationship to core interior architecture elements, light, color, texture, materials, and furnishings, and how these shape spatial perception and human experience. Through key concepts in geometry, proportion, aesthetics, and environmental behavior, students will learn to critically analyze and interpret interior spaces, communicate spatial ideas using appropriate terminology and visual/analytical tools, and translate theory into informed design decisions. The course equips students with a strong conceptual foundation for evaluating existing environments and conceptualizing new interior proposals with clarity, coherence, and sensitivity to users and context.
